Mohan Thal Recipe In 4 Easy Steps


Ingredients


  • 2 cup besann (bengal gram flour)
  • 3 tbsp melted ghee
  • 6 tbsp milk 
  • 1 cup melted ghee
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar 
  • 1 cup water 
  • 2 tsp milk 
  • 1/4 tsp cardamon powder (elaichi)
  • 1/4 tsp saffron strands (kesar)
  • 1/4 tbsp crashed almond (badam)
  • 1/4 tbsp crashed pistachio (pista)

How To Make In English 

  1. take a bowl and add 2 cup besan , 3 tbsp melted ghee, 3 tbsp milk and mix well...
    then tap it well to one corner of the bowl and keep aside for 30 mins to dry
    now crush the mixture with hands to make  powder and then skim the mixture to get thin powder mixture..

     
  2. now take a non-stick pan and add ghee to it and heat in on medium flame
    then add the besan mixture to it continuously stir it
    cook for approx 5 mins tilll mixture turns  brown in color
    now take the pan and keep aside
  3.  now take another non-stick pan.. and add 1 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water to it..
    boil it on high flame for approx 7 mins till all sugar dissolve.. continuously stir
    then add 2 tsp milk in the mixture to remove impurities...
    then remove  the sugar which has stuck to walls of the pan
     
  4. now add the sugar-water misture i the gram flour mixture and mix well...
    then add cardamon powder to it again mix well
    then add (1/4 tsp saffron + 1/2 tsp water) mixture to it and again mix well
    then keep stirring the mixture till it becomes a thick powder with lumps
    now add 2-3 tsp milk to it and and make a thick paste
    now pour this mixture in a plate greased with oil and tap well with hand , so it cover the entire plate
    now sprinkle crushed almond and pistachio o it
    cover the plate and keep aside for 2-3 hours
    then cut the thick paste into desired shape & sizes pieces
