Ingredients
- 1/2 ltr cow milk
- 1/2 ltr buffalo milk
if buffalo milk not available use 1 ltr cow milk - 1 1/2 tbsp lime
- 1 cup sugar (225 gms)
- 5 cup water (1.2 ltr)
How To Make In English
- first take a pan and add cow n buffalo milk in it and stir it..
boil the milk till boiling point
now turn off the gas
let all the vapor comes out (dont do anything for 1 min)
then add lime to it and stir well
the milk will will turn into water n thick paste (light green color)
now strain the mixture using white cloth
strain all the water and only thick paste remain in it
keep the thick paste in cloth only
now put the cloth in cold water
now strain all the water from the paste and hang it so that all water is strained
now remove the thick paste from cloth in a plate
now using hand make a thick paste of the mixture with no lumps
(mix as you do for making chapati dough)
now make small balls from the thick paste
make sure there are no crack in the bowl - now take another vessel/cooker and add water and sugar in it
allow all the sugar to melt and water reach boiling point
now add the ball in it and cover the vessel
cook on medium flame for 7-8 mins
(if u using cooker do not put whistle on it)
after 8 mins open the vessel and keep it aside for 10-15 to come to room temperature
the take the mixture in a bowl and cool it in fridge
ready to eat
Wash the cheena with water for three times and then hang it for best results
